Virginia Wolf Conference and Meeting Room
Nestled cosily between the Voysey Room and the Dickens Library, the Virginia Woolf room connects two of Mary Ward House’s grandest and most unique spaces. As such, the Virginia Woolf room acts as a natural extension of either space, and can be hired to add a separate area for your booking.
Two wide doors open on each side of the Virginia Woolf Room, one leading to the Voysey and the other to the Dickens Library. With one door acting as an entrance and the other as an exit, guests are able to move through easily to pick up refreshments; indeed, the Virginia Woolf room is popularly utilized for catering. From conference tea and coffee to exhibition wine and canapes, it’s a space perfectly suited to the purpose.

At the same time, the Virginia Woolf room still possesses enough space to accommodate a large table and chairs, making it ideal for break-out rooms or smaller training rooms.
Deep green walls contrast softly with pure white doors, and a high ceiling with moulding makes the most of the space’s cosier dimensions, with dark hardwood floors and tasteful character fireplace accenting the room with a touch of Mary Ward House’s grade 1 listed grandeur. The room even extends outwards through the property’s iconic courtyard to deliver wonderful outside space.
As the Dickens Library lacks its own entrance into the courtyard, the Virginia Woolf room is recommended as a complementary booking if you want to give guests the opportunity to stroll out beneath the summer sun and fill their lungs with clean, fresh air between sessions.
One of the most versatile meeting rooms for hire in London, the Virginia Woolf room can be used for break-out space, additional space, catering, or as an entry point out into the courtyard
